I wanted to be able to turn off/on my rear view camera at any time, not just when the Cruze was in reverse. Wiring in a switch with a diode (so the back up lights don't come on) was the easy part. Trying to find a location for the switch, make it back lit at night, and look stock was the hard part.
After much web surfing I came across a place called "Oceanstatelaser" run by Jon Allen Welcome to Oceanstatelaser.com
I sent Jon my over head panel requesting 2 switches be installed labeled "REAR CAMERA" and "FRONT CAMERA" I wanted the text back lit and the switches to indicate when they were on.
Picture is worth a 1000 words, this is what I got back:

I have not hard wired it into the car yet, but when bench tested the text is back lit blue (will tie it into my dash lights) and the indicator on the switches is amber when on. I am playing around with a thermal imager for the front camera.
Jon did a super job for me and I am very pleased with the stock look.
If you need something done he is the man, was less than a 2 week turn around too. Tell jon that Bob sent you.
