Just painted my chrome trim around the grills black. Took some pictures to help others who were wanting to take it apart to paint the chrome pieces. This takes just as long to tape it up and paint it, for me anyways.
Tools you'll need:
ratchet, I used a 3/8 ratchet
10mm socket
a fork, makes those clips a breeze to remove
flat head and Phillips screw drivers
T20 driver

1)Remove all clips, bolts and screws that hold the bumper cover on
3 in each fender well

A couple clips underneath along with a bunch of screws.

When you get to this flap, just remove the outside bolt and middle clip; then slide it out of the way
2013-05-04 11.31.51.jpg
4 clips up top along with 2 10mm bolts, one on each side.

Once you remove all the bolts and clips, grab the cover near the headlights and pull UP and OUTWARDS and it will pull right off.
2) Remove the side markers, temperature sensor, and fog lights if you have them.
Side markers, twist to unlock then slide out.

Fog lights have one screw each then 5 locking clips. Very easy to remove.

As for the temperature sensor(little round thing in driver side fog light) just un clip it from the plug and leave the actual sensor attached to fog light. Or use a socket and push it out from the outside of the fog light.
3)Now you're ready to remove the grills. The chrome pieces are attached to the upper and lower grill so they will come off attached to eachother.
There are 4 screws that hold the lower grill to the bumper cover and 8 screws that hold the upper grill to the cover. Remove these first.

A closer pic of the outer 2 screws for the upper grill you need to remove.

Now work on the lower grill.
2013-05-04 10.53.31.jpg
Use a flat head screw driver to push the tab in on the clip and it will pop off of the bumper for both upper and lower grills.

4)Now to separate the chrome from the grill.
On the upper grill there are two screws on each end. The pic shows my thumb pointing at the location.

After the screws are out, you just need to push all the chrome tabs in to un clip them from the grill pieces.
As seen in the pic below, use your 8 fingers on the black plastic and push opposite with your thumbs on the chrome tab. They will come un clipped and apart easy with this technique.

Here's a pic of all the pieces apart from each other.

And there you go. Re assembly is very quick. I did this to paint my chrome trim black. Here's how that looks.
