This past weekend, I met up with Poje to get his stock suspension since he went coilover. Thanks again, man! We took the opportunity to talk shop, and the talk got around to tunes. He has a customized Vermont tune he's quite happy with, I have a customized Trifecta tune I'm quite happy with. Of course, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to see each tune in action. Our mods are similar. He has a K&N intake, while I have a resonator delete. His is an automatic, while mine is a manual.
Given the differences between the cars, the subjective acceleration between the two cars was about identical. Both cars pulled hard through gears 1-3. They also picked back up quickly after letting off for a corner. We made sure to obey traffic laws and speed limits during this time.
After experiencing each tune first-hand, either one is a fine choice. Both Vermont and Trifecta offer good, reliable performance gains. Both companies also offer great customer service, and have many satisfied customers. While there are differences in the tunes themselves, on the street they were not evident.
Myself, I'm glad we have two great tunes with great reputations! Kudos to Vermont and Trifecta for having great products AND great customer support!
