I have installed a intercooler temp gauge. mounted one sensor in the hard pipe about 12" after the turbo and one sensor 7" from the throttle body.
Under normal driving i saw...
79 degrees out side
126* in and 87* at the throttle body.
Heavy normal driving ECO...
79* outside
144* in and 88* at throttle body
Heavy driving sport 24psi...
80* outside
224* in and 89* out
Really really heavy driving sport 24 to 26psi...
with in 10 seconds i was at 300* max for sensor and 97* at throttle body that was a 100mph pull!
what i did notice was that the iat1 sensor was about 10 degrees above outside temp and with my set up did not affect the temp sensor after the turbo till i was sitting in traffic. than i saw 150* at the iat1 and 154 at the outside of the turbo. so it kinda stands to say if you have the short ram...you are seeing much much higher temps than me.
