Yesterday I was driving through Richmond, Virginia heading towards TN, and I was in the farthest left hand lane, with a semi to my right, approaching a bend. Halfway through the bend I come face to face with a CHUNK[I'm talking 3 inches high, 6 inches wide, solid CHUNK] of cement from what I'm guessing is the center divider, siting about a foot from the divider. Now at this point, I cant avoid it, so I swerve within inches of the divider so it doesn't pop my tire or destroy my rim[still in the road trip], and wince as I just hear a huge crunch as I go over it, and a shock transferring through my car.
Cussing like a sailor thinking my lower bumper is now in pieces, I pull over to the side of the road and look under my car to find a huge gouge in the skid plate[The one that had the recall] Hopefully tomorrow I can get some pictures since I might have H3LL rotate my tires at his work if he's not busy, but I cant believe how much I lucked out, considering what I hit, and where I could have hit the chunk.
