parking brake lever meets armrest...

Hi,

Im sure this issue have been discussed, so I apologize, but when the armrest is slid ALL THE WAY forward, the parking bake lever should NOT touch the armrest if the braking brake is properly adjusted,, correct?

Or is this just a design flaw? I stopped in a chevy dealer lot this morning before they were open and sat in a few Cruzes that were open and both of them the lever hits the armrest when it is slide all the way forward.
