In May of last year, my wife traded her Cruze for a Volt and it's been great. So far she is averaging 185 mpg lifetime. Meanwhile I was driving a 2010 F150. Well my driving habits have changed. I'm currently driving 30k miles a year and my gas bill is almost $600 month. It likes like I'm going to get a few more clients that are 55 to 125 miles from the house. Tuesday night, I traded the F150 on a white 2013 Eco MT with the drivers package and navigation. I'll miss the room and relative comfort of the F150, but not the gas bills. I was looking at the diesel, but the $7k difference, including the rebates, was the deciding factor. There were a few other cars out there that I was considering, but it seemed that the Cruze Eco was the best option for the money. I preferred a manual transmission, over 40 mpg, and did not want a VW diesel or Prius.
