I'm not talking about octane here - I only use 91.
At the end of my 814 mile tank I had to get gas and didn't have a choice of station. It was a Phillips 66. I had been Cruzing along at 50 mpg for nearly two months until I went to that station. After that fill up I struggled to keep the car in the high 40s and only saw 50 on the DIC for a short period. I filled my tank again yesterday at my normal Safeway station and had a pump measured 44 mpg. This morning my car was very happily cruzing along with the DIC showing 53+ mpg.
So if you're struggling with your fuel economy try a different station or brand of gas. This is also another good reason to not run your tank down too low - you loose the ability to pick and choose your gas station.
