Hello Everyone
It is that time of the year again for me. My car is 2 years old 1.4 turbocharged 1LT car with about 18,800 miles on the clock. Her name is Penny. For those interested here is a link back to my 1 year review http://www.cruzetalk.com/forum/9-gen...iew-cruze.html
To date my car has had a few modifications done to her,
LED interior foot well lights
LED bow tie
Resonator Delete
Vacuum / Boost gauge
custom plasti dipp stripes
plasti dipp emblems
To start off my review i will note my car has had NO issues. She has done everything that has been requested of it and it surpassed. My car has achieved 46 mpg while moving me home from school loaded down. I get it inspected regularly and change the oil at 45% at the latest.
Being that a year has gone by i have driven through a range of weather. The car was able to handle everything with ease ( granted my driving had to change for the snow but thats normal ). I have driven in snow storms and on unplowed snow and the car gets good traction and reacts well to turns and braking. In the rain the car handles just as well. I have never locked up my wheels on wet roads( i tried).
The ride of the car is still very smooth and easy to handle for long drives. It is a enjoyable to drive the car even for hours on end. The car has lived a bit of a hard year. I moved to NYC and anyone will know that NYC has the worse roads for pot holes. When it is demanded the car also can handle fast driving. My father lives in the country so i get a chance to throw her into some corner and it does stick to the road.
The performance of car is great for what it is. The 1.4 turbocharged engine does a great job getting this car up and going. Do remember that it is only a 1.4 engine so it does its best. On the highway it has plenty of passing power to get around those annoying slow drivers. on the side road the turbo spools up quick enough to get the car up the hills and around the corner, i sense no turbo lag in it at all. I am untuned as of right now with no real performance modifications on the engine. In manual mode the car is a blast to drive. I did have this car on a racetrack with the Cruze forum and it handle so well ( i was slow b.c of lack of experience) but it was a blast shooting around the track at 90mph
over all i love my car, It has done what i asked of it and then some. It has not let me down ever. The brakes are on spot and have prevented a number of accidents with deer and other idiot drivers. The trim level is perfect for me. The trunk has plenty of space for everything i need to haul around. The car really stands out as for looks.
If there are any questions please message me i would be happy to help if i can.
my last note is that the customer service people on this website have been a great help and my Dealer in middletown NY is perfect helps me do modification to the car and takes great care of me and my car. Chevrolet has treated me very well for the last 6 years of my driving life and my family for the last 25+ years
