Something I have noticed on the forum is that it doesn't seem like people are following correct start and stop procedures for a turbocharged car.
I know many of us are gas mileage oriented and don't like to let the car idle.
When your first start the car you need to let it run for at least 20 seconds. I don't know about other models but my eco will hold 1500 from for that time span and then drop to 1000. Don't just get in and start spooling right away. It needs this this 20 second time span.
On the same effect, if your drive is long or you boost a lot, you need to let it idle another 20 seconds before you shut it off. If you don't wanna wait, you can install a Turbo timer that will allow you to pull the key out, lock the car and walk away and it will keep the car running for a set amount of time.
This is basic Turbo protocol.
