CEL Code: P015B: H02S Delayed Response To Lean Sensor 2

Hey all,

So, this week my car decided to post a check engine light. I got myself an OBD reader and got the code: P015B H02S Delayed Response To Lean Sensor 2.

From what I gather this is an oxygen sensor. Does anyone know where this particular O2 sensor is located? I'd like to check to see if it's plugged in if possible. The car is a 2016.5 (Gen 2) Cruze LT.

This may be a red herring but the car came out of the body shop last week for a right front fender replacement due to damage by snow clearing equipment. During the repair they removed or disconnected the right front headlight assembly (I got an Onstar notification). so I wonder if they disconnected other components and forgot to reconnect one. The CEL came on maybe 100KM or so after I picked the car up from the body shop.

Any help is appreciated!

LED Bulbs at RockAuto.com!

Car restorers know answers to the question,"How long does it take to replace an instrument panel light bulb?" range from "five minutes" to "I started taking apart the instrument panel two months ago, and I still haven't found that %!@# bulb!" Hard to reach bulbs and any other bulbs that you only want to change once, can now be replaced with new LED bulbs. Here are just a few benefits of using an LED bulb for your automotive lighting needs:

  • LED bulbs do not have a filament wire like incandescent bulbs, making them better equipped to withstand vibration
  • LED bulbs last longer, use less power and give off less heat compared to incandescent bulbs
  • LED bulbs typically give off more light and even come in multiple color choices
  • LED bulbs have fewer part numbers, making them more universal

While LED bulbs do cost a lot more than incandescent bulbs, this is less scary when you consider that many incandescent bulbs start at less than $0.25 at RockAuto.com. It could be worth $10 or even $20 to avoid disassembling an instrument panel a second time.

Find all types of bulbs, with choice of brands, at RockAuto.com under the "Electrical-Bulb & Socket" category for your vehicle.

2011 eco not making full boost

So I have barely had my cruze for maybe a week and I decided to put a short ram intake on it. Well now I'm not making full boost. I'm only getting 13-15 psi now every now and then it'll hit 16-18 for a second but then goes back down. Is there anyways to fix this without spending a lot of money on a tune? I just need it to work until I make the money for the trifecta elite tune.

Thoughts on this alternative to deleting

I was just reading the delete thread and thought I'd post an idea I have as a VERY inexpensive alternative to a delete tune. It consists of 2 things:

1. The ability to do a manual regen.

2. The ability to disable the "countdown to death".

All other things being equal, this might cost a couple hundred $, and still greatly increase the reliability of these cars.

I say this as someone who's put just about 200K miles on my stock CTD, and the 2 main "leave me stranded" type of emissions problems I had centered around the DPF regen and the countdown to death.

I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this approach.

Gen2 modifications of grille and horn?

Hi there--I'm thinking of getting a 2017 Cruze LT and potentially making two modifications: swapping out the single-note horn for something beefier and swapping out the standard grille for (I think) the one that comes on the Premier--the one with the horizontal chrome trim. The latter is available as an option when ordering (~$420 IIRC) or as an "accessory" on the Chevy website (curiously, for less, ~$350?)--but I'm wondering if it'd be easy and cheaper to do it myself. Has anyone swapped out grilles or horns on their Gen2 Cruze? (Or dressed up the existing grille with chrome trim?) I couldn't find any how-tos anywhere. (Side note: I would not be getting the RS package, so this would be the standard LT grille --> the standard Premier grille.) Thanks!

Engine fan stuck on constantly, even with all relays removed..

Have a 2014 Cruze deisel. Bought it with MIL on and engine fan not working.

Mil is p0691.

I tested the power and ground going to the fan, found it was good. Fan felt a little iffy to me. Just finished replacing fan. Install everything, hook up battery and the fan is running constant, key off.

Checked wiring diagrams and according to mitchells the fan has power and ground at all times and there is a control speed wire.

I removed all 5 relays related to the fan, even tried the ignition relays, all removed with key off and fan still runs, only way to get fan off is removing 60a fuse.

I checked the control wire at PCM for shorts to power and ground , both ok, and wire has perfect resistance. I even tried removing connector 1 from PCM, fan still runs....

Pulling out my hair, any ideas ? and coolant level is good.

Using scanner the only thing i see out of place is ambient air sensor is reading -14°c all the time, even with it unplugged. The connector looks good though, and ECT is reading properly.

Android Auto?

Just recently purchased my new 2017 Chevy Cruze ls and I was super hyped to have it with android auto. I can not get it to work consistently, as soon as I plug the USB cable in the icon does not change from the "Project" to the Android Auto icon. It does't do anything for maybe 30 seconds before it open my Google play music, but not android auto. I have tried with both the cable the phone came with and with the one it worked with originally. When it was working it was awesome, but so far 90% of the time it doesn't show up. Please help. I am using an LG G5 with Verizon, but I wouldn't think that to be the problem if it worked just fine 2 times before.

Tying into speedometer signal

I would really like to be able to intercept the signal to the speedometer, and use it to drive a separate odometer. Does anyone know where the car receives the signal from? Where does it go to? ( I assume the body computer ) Any details or pointing towards a resource I can peruse would be most appreciated. Thanks

Metro Detroit Meet

Hey guys, anybody interested in a meet somewhere in the Metro Detroit area? After I got my hatch, I got my girlfriend a 2017 Sedan and I want to show her how cool the car community can be. I've started modding mine and she's slowly catching the itch, and she even giggled when I got on it the other day.

Hopefully we can get a dinner or something together. Or something. I'm not terribly picky, I just want her to see how cool it is when I bunch of like minded enthusiasts come together to show off their new finishing touch.

I work in New Hudson (near Milford/South Lyon/Wixom) and live in Farmington Hills.

Does anyone know how to disable the DRL

$

So I recently installed an HID kit on my 2014 Chevy Cruze. The ballasts came with a relay so I know that's not the problem. I have even switched the sides and it only happens on the driver's side. What happens is it will flicker for a couple of seconds and then turn off. This happens when I have my HIDs on auto and in the on position. So does anyone have the same problem and know how to disable the DRL cause I've read online that's the issue with them but no one can tell me how to disable it.

Petrol Price Check Feb 2017

A gallon of gas in the Tri State Area (AZ) seems to have dropped. I just paid $1.81 with discount. Sign price $2.01 and while no longer getting that dollar off from Safeway, I earned 20 cents off a gallon at Kroger and also bought lower priced groceries and fresher overall food. I hadn't filled up in a month and a half, gotta love the CRUZE!

"The national average price of gas continues to increase, reaching today's average of$2.37 per gallon, the most expensive average since June 2016. Gas prices have moved higher by three cents per gallon on the week and 17 cents per gallon on the month."

oil change info 1.4 turbo

Does anyone have any glitch on how to change the oil on a 2017 1.4 turbo Cruze? I will have to jack the vehicle as the front ground effects/air dam are too low to drive it up on the ramps. Where is the screw on filter located? It may be completely evident once I get under there but I'd like some advanced knowledge before I take this on. I have the oil and filter, just need to get it done. I'm just seeking knowledge on "where" the filter is located. I can get it off and on with no issues as I've done hundreds of oil changes.

Intermittent no outside temp and other issues w/radio display

On my wife's 2012 Cruse RS, occasionally it won't show an outside temp, nothing in that upper right corner. She says it has been doing it for awhile. At the same time it is doing this, she might attempt to shut the radio off and on, but won't respond to the power switch or it might if she pushes the power switch a couple times.
Tonight I was driving it and noticed the radio display was too bright, I tried to adjust the brightness down (switch by the headlight switch), and the cluster dimmed but the radio didn't, stayed full bright. My wife then brought to my attention that the outside temp was also missing. So my natural reaction was, as she had tried before, to try switching the radio off, withthe intention of turning it back on again. As soon as I pushed the power switch, the radio didn't switch off but the display dimmed to match the instrument cluster and the outside temp also appeared.
Just wondering if anyone had heard of the radio display(there is probably a better name for it than just "radio" since it displays the heater status, etc) acting weird like this. Car is way out of warranty at this point of course.

K&N Intake Gives The Car A More Aggressive Sound

I installed a K&N intake a few months ago on my new Cruze. I have experienced much better fuel economy (5.5 L/100KM) on a highway trip maintaining 120kmh most of the way. It also gives the car a much more aggressive sound as well as letting you hear the turbo and blowoff very distinctly. Turns heads all the time for me. Anyone else done this? Install too about half an hour for me and a friend to do, and was very simple.
